In our yarn shop, December is usually filled with the family members of our local customers. They know that their loved ones enjoy knitting or crochet, but have no idea what to get them for Christmas. For makers, this is also a time that most of us spend focused on others and what we can make for them. So, this article is all about you!

Here are my top gift suggestions you may like to put on your own Christmas wish list that would help you get the most enjoyment out of your craft, and that would help your family members find the perfect gift for you this season. I have broken this article down into different lists of 3 so you can easily find the perfect gift!

3 Things for Crocheters

1. The Yarn Bouquet

Instead of a bouquet of flowers or beautifully wrapped gift set, we have The Yarn Bouquet which is the perfect combination of the two! The bouquet includes crochet hooks, luxury yarn, a stitch marker and a premium subscription to this newsletter. Everything is gorgeously packaged to look just like a flower bouquet!

2. Animal Pot Covers Book

This book has been one of our most popular items this year. The designs are just fabulous, really unique and colourful projects that are fun to make. This book can also be turned into a bigger gift as we stock the plant pots that go with the crochet patterns in 2 sizes, so this gift is ideal for crocheters and plant lovers! The book also goes great with a nice crochet hook and the yarn to make one project over Christmas.

3. Ricorumi Element Heads Book

It wouldn’t be a crocheter’s list without mentioning Ricorumi at least once! I’ve gone with Element Heads as this book has been a sellout ever since it arrived. One of a kind designs, interesting projects to make, and wonderfully paired with the yarn cakes, Spin Spin DK. These books are great fun for novice and expert crocheters alike.

3 Things for Knitters

1. Yarn Tote Bag

During 2022, we became official stockists of Emma Ball Ltd. craft accessories. The range has been so popular that we’re always expanding to include more! This yarn tote bag is perfect for knitting lovers as well as animal lovers, as it features a kitten and the phrase ‘Knit one, purrrrrl one’. If you know, you know.

We also have several other bag designs which you can view by clicking here!

2. Hand Painted Needles

A crafter is nothing without their tools. These gorgeous hand painted knitted needles from Sirdar make great gifts. They all have different red and white designs on the ends of the hooks so they have a festive feel to them. They’re also high quality bamboo to they’re lovely to work with!

3. The Yarn Bouquet

I suggest this gift for both knitters and crocheters as it’s always well loved. The bouquet includes sets of knitting needles, luxury yarn, a stitch marker and a premium subscription to this newsletter. Everything is gorgeously packaged to look just like a flower bouquet!

3 General Maker Gifts

If you’re shopping for a yarn lover this Christmas and don’t want to be restricted by knitting or crochet, here are some gifts that are great for all makers!

1. Other Woollies Drawstring Bag

‘Other Woollies’ is just one of the fabulous designs offered by Emma Ball. This drawstring project bag is perfect for storing any craft project, whether it’s next to your armchair in the living room or being tucked into a suitcase for your holidays!

2. Sheep in Sweaters Mug

Wherever you find a crafter, you’ll likely find a mug of tea or coffee nearby. Sheep in Sweaters is another Emma Ball classic and looks lovely on this mug.
