Summer of Stashbusting: Part 4
Share

Welcome to Part 4 of The Summer of Stashbusting! Hopefully you’ve made a bit of a dent in your yarn stash by now and you have a few cute projects to show for it. Last time we set out to make headbands and gift bags, so here is a closer look at the projects that I made. For Weeks 7 and 8, scroll down to the next section.

In Week 5, I made a spa headband. I’ve used this free crochet pattern before and I love the finished accessory so I was happy to make another. Last time I used Rico Baby Cotton Soft DK, but this time I used an oddment of Sirdar Stories DK I had lying around. I was able to whip this up in one sitting which is ideal for stashbusting projects.

For Week 6 I made the gift bag pictured above. I ended up using a different free pattern to the one I suggested last time as, upon closer inspection, the translation of the pattern had a few mistakes. I probably could’ve figured it out but I just wanted something simple to follow so I picked a different one. Click here to see the pattern I used.

This gift bag was made with Hayfield Bonus DK, and luckily the oddment I found in my stash was exactly the right amount. Instead of threading ribbon through the top, I made a string of chain to finish it off.

Welcome to Part 4!
