For this week’s Yarn Corner we’re bringing you a new winter classic: Croftland Aran. This is a new range we’re stocking from James C. Brett designed especially for big project lovers. The well-regarded Yorkshire brand’s new line Croftland Aran is 200g, delightfully warm, and comes in 12 classic garment/accessory shades. Perfect for all kinds of projects such as winter accessories, blankets, and garments.
Usually we stock a range of 400g aran, but these balls are 200g meaning you can get the desired amount of yarn for your project without lots of yarn to spare. It comes in a collection of standard shades so that you can pair it with any pattern you have in mind.

Knitted Stockings in Croftland Aran
We had a couple of Christmas stockings crocheted up in this yarn as a sample to have in store and we’re so happy with how they turned out. These will be a staple in our shop for years to come! All the shades complement each other really well so you can choose any combination for a successful project.
Here is the free pattern used for the stockings:
Christmas Eve Stockings by Anna Nikipirowicz (crochet)
Croftland Aran is an 20% Wool, 80% Acrylic mix, which gives it the perfect balance of insulation and smoothness. If you look closely at the stitches in these stockings, you should be able to see the fibers intact without the trademark fuzz of more wooly, itchy garments.
At £5.99 per ball and with 2kg in stock of 10/12 colours, Croftland Aran is the perfect winter pickup this December.
