Let me introduce a new addition to our shop in 2022, Katia's Boomer! An eye-catching new take on yarn design, Boomer is a well-balanced acrylic/wool mix that combines the latest ideas with gorgeous solid shades. We waited a long time for this one to arrive and we are so excited to be offering something new to our customers. The unique shape of this yarn is becoming popular with makers all across the world, and Katia’s version is of the highest quality. Its versatility and guaranteed tangle-free design makes it our new recommendation for beginners looking to try their first multi-coloured project, and for those looking for a one-ball project. There’s enough yarn to make a complete children’s jumper, or a matching hat and scarf set! You can make a long sleeved ladies sweater with just 3 balls.
This yarn is already proving popular in store and I’m excited to see the fantastic projects made with Boomer. We have 4 shades to choose from, all of which are a mix of vibrant and rich colours. Another great element of this collection is the effort that Katia has put into it, starting with the video below that shows off Boomer's easy-start mechanism:
As you can see, the horseshoe is attached in the middle by a small white piece of plastic. Simply cutting this will release both ends of yarn, either ready to wrap around a hook or needle.
Working with Boomer is easy! Katia's tangle-free design ensures you won't have to fumble and fuss as you run through row after row. The yarn slides off itself with little resistance. There's also no mystery middle you need to pull out. In a time when everyone's thinking about their mental well-being a little more, what better way to reduce stress than by removing complicated detangling processes from your everyday crafting.
